Only certified organic products are used in maintaining the Hickory Tree Grove so that when you receive your fruit it is pure, natural and tree ripened.
Your fruit was simply picked and packed. No pesticide sprays to be concerned about; no chemical fertilizers or herbicides being absorbed through the root systems and spreading to the fruit.
Immediately unpack your box of citrus and make sure the fruit is dry (condensation can occur during shipping). Fruit is occasionally bruised during shipping. Any bruised or soft fruit should be used first.
Citrus needs to be kept cool, dry and well ventilated. Under those conditions, your fruit will keep three (3) weeks or more. An open box in the basement or garage might work. 40-50 degrees is the ideal temperature range for storing fruit. The more you can spread your fruit out while keeping it cool, the better. The vegetable bin in the refrigerator is an excellent place to store the "handy" fruit.
